Display detailed satellite info

Detailed satellite information is available by displaying the Satellites Table. Satellite information can be sorted and ordered to enable the user to then select satellite combinations for a scenario based on more detailed criteria (e.g. operator or repeat cycle).

To display the summary information select Satellites Table from the Edit menu (see Diagram 1).

The table can be tailored to represent information in different ways.

  • View or hide column - Right click on the column header and deselect the column from the Columns sub-list or choose the Remove column command.
  • Sort ascending or descending by column - Click on the column header once to sort the rows in ascending order, click on the column header again to sort in descending order. Another option is to right click on the column header and choose Sort Ascending or Sort Descending from the command list.
  • Move column - Drag and drop a column header to the desired location.
  • Widen column - On the column header, mouse over between two columns, when the cursor changes, click and drag the column to the desired width. Double click to set the width to the minimum allowing both the column header and data within the column to be seen.
  • Best Fit - Right click on the column header and choose Best Fit to adjust the column width to the column's widest value.
  • Column alignment - Right click on the column header and choose Align left | Align Right | Center from the Alignment sub-menu.
  • View the group by box - View the group by box at the top of the satellite list. The group by box can be used to group satellite rows. Groups of rows can be expanded and collapsed using the + and - icons or by right clicking on the group name on the satellite list.
  • Group by different columns - Instead of grouping satellites rows by the alphabetical default you can drag and drop columns into the group by box to reorder the rows by different criteria. Columns can be dragged and dropped back into the column bar to remove the grouping. Columns dragged and dropped outside of the Satellite Table are hidden and can be reactivated on the column list be right clicking on the column header and selecting the column from the Columns list.
